What is the Pittsburgh Regional Compact?
The Pittsburgh Regional Compact is an employer-driven initiative collaboratively sponsored by the Allegheny Conference on Community Development, business leaders, educators, students, educational institutions and workforce development organizations across the 10-county Pittsburgh region.
What is the Compact Connector?
The Compact Connector is a web tool that serves as means of communication for members of the Pittsburgh Regional Compact to facilitate the coordination of opportunities for students. It allows you to search for a variety of upcoming opportunities such as classroom speakers, workplace tours, job shadowing, career mentoring, work readiness training, educator workplace training, graduation project advisors, and internships.
Why become a member?
The Pittsburgh Regional Compact builds the workforce by building careers. Partnerships between employers and educators can contribute to career education by preparing students - through a variety of approaches - for the many careers available in the region. Through the Compact Connector, you will be able to contact the right people in organizations along with be able to create new opportunity for the rest of the community.
How do I become a member?
To become a member, click the "Register" link located on the top right hand corner. After your application is submitted, an administrator will review your application for approval. When your application is approved, you will be able to fully utilize the Compact Connector.
